5 YouTube Channels That Inspired Our Bus Conversion

YouTube is an incredible resource. One of the first things that we did in our research efforts, even before buying a bus, was turn to YouTube. We spent hours watching bus conversion videos to gain insight, knowledge, and inspiration. Out of all of the tens of thousands of bus conversion channels on YouTube, these were the five that we found to be the most valuable in our own personal journey.

Transcend Existence

Transcend Existence is the channel that inspired us to raise the roof on our bus. The videos on this channel are made by a very talented man and well-known member of the Skoolie community, Wess Lewis.

His videos are a priceless resource for anyone converting a bus. Further, he has helped countless people with their bus conversions by walking them through different processes and answering various bus related questions. If you are looking for a craftsman with superior metal working skills and knowledge, this is the man!

Jordan Pike

While Jordan’s channel is not a bus conversion channel, we still found it to be extremely motivational. Jordan Pike is a travel vlogger that has documented trips to various tourist destinations around the world. Some of these places include Thailand, Australia, Guatemala, and Chile. He brings his viewers out on the town everywhere he visits and gives them a taste of the local culture while showing off the amazing scenery.

Moreover, what makes Jordan’s channel particularly appealing is his adventurous nature and enthusiasm for the beauty that this planet has to offer. Not to mention the incredible views he captures through his drone footage. Jordan’s channel has continued to fuel our thirst for travel and hunger for adventure.

Living Zeal

Living Zeal focuses a lot on the daily life of Chad and Zaynah in their bus. One of our favorite things about this channel is that they are very genuine about what bus life is like. While there are so many positive aspects of life in a bus, there are also a lot of hardships. Living Zeal is amazing about bringing those very real struggles to light.

Another thing that they do well is discuss how they overcome those struggles. They often address their viewers about what their daily routines look like and what they are currently up to. And last but not least, they don’t sugarcoat anything. Their footage is raw, uncut, and real, which is hard to come by on the internet these days.

Roll With It

Roll With It is a channel starring Scott Pellegrino, from New York, and the love of his life, Kayley Jaye, from LA. They met through an online dating service, fell in love, and decided to convert a bus together.

Their bus conversion series shows how difficult and stressful converting a bus can be but paints a great picture of what their lives were like through the process.

After converting their bus, they begin a journey around the U.S. to find their forever home. Watching them travel with their two adorable dogs is not only entertaining, but also inspiring!

Ian Robinson

Ian Robinson and his wife Veronica a.k.a. “V” are nomadic travelers. They make their way all around the world and vlog their experiences. Further, they have an entertaining and informative channel for bus converters, travelers, and anyone who likes to smile. They document their entire bus conversion build from start to finish.

We loved this because not only did we learn a lot but they are also fun to watch. Ian demonstrates great problem-solving skills during their bus conversion while V keeps the viewers entertained. This series helped us through so many steps of our conversion and we’d highly recommend checking them out!
